The Guizer Jarl leads his men during the annual Up Helly Aa Festival, Lerwick, Shetland Islands, 27th January 2009. Up Helly Aa celebrates the influence of the Scandinavian vikings in the Shetland Islands and has employed this theme in the festival for over 100 years.
