The first steam locomotive built in Britain for almost 50 years is due to leave Edinburgh today, Saturday 7 March 2009...The Tornado arrived in Edinburgh last Saturday as part of a national tour...The £3million Peppercorn class train was built by the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust and is designed on the locomotives that ran on the East Coast Line between the 1940's and 1960's...Pic shows the Tornado steam locomotive crossing the Forth Rail Bridge, North Queensferry on its way to Wavelery Station in Edinburgh.
