People of the Year. Olympian Chris Hoy, who pedalled his way to three gold medals in Beijing, has been recommended for a knighthood in the new year's honours list.

Scottish Olympic Athletes return home from Beijing travelling through Edinburgh city centre on an open top bus. Triple Gold Medallist Chris Hoy, Sailing Silver Medallist Katherine Granger, Cycling Silver Medallist Ross Edgar and Canoeing Silver Medallist David Florence were all proudly received by the 50,000 strong crowd.
