A man clears snow from his driveway in Edinburgh's Fairmilehead area. Heavy snow has fallen across large parts of the UK, disrupting travel and closing thousands of schools. Weather warnings of heavy and drifting snow are also in place for many southern and eastern parts of Scotland.
